Educational Qualifications
Technician Grade 1 Signal (Level 5)
Candidates must satisfy one of the following:
- B.Sc. in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Instrumentation
- 3-year Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or IT
- B.E./B.Tech (specific engineering streams as per official annexure)
Technician Grade 3 (Level 2)
Candidates must have any one of the following:
- 10th Pass (Matriculation/SSLC) + ITI Certificate from NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trades (e.g. Fitter, Electrician, Wireman, Diesel Mechanic, etc.)
- 10th Pass + Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA) in approved trade
- 10+2 with Physics & Mathematics (only for limited post categories listed in the official annexure)
Medical & Physical Standards
- Required medical categories vary by post: A-3, B-1, B-2, or C-1 depending on job profile
- These include requirements for distant/near vision, colour vision, night vision, binocular coordination, etc.
- Candidates who have undergone LASIK or similar eye surgeries are not eligible for A‑3 posts
