PSSSB PTI Teacher Selection Processs

1. Written Test + Sports Achievement Score

Total weightage: 100 marks
- Written Exam: 70 marks (objective-type)
- Sports Achievements (Govt-graded): up to 30 marks

Written Exam Breakdown:

General Studies: Punjab culture, history & current affairs
India & world GK, reasoning, basic computers
Paper 2: Physical Education theory (sports rules, anatomy, training, health education, etc.)

2. Physical Fitness Test (Qualifying Only)

Candidates who pass the written exam are eligible for this stage:

Must clear at least 3 out of 5 events:
- 30‑meter flying start: ≦ 5 sec (male), ≦ 5.80 sec (female)
- Standing broad jump: ≥ 1.40 m (male), ≥ 1.20 m (female)
- Shuttle run (6×10 m): ≦ 17.5 s / 18.5 s
- Bend-and-reach: ≥ 2 cm
- 1600 m run: ≤ 8 min (male), ≤ 9 min 30 s (female)

3. Document Verification (DV)

Only those who pass both the written + physical stages are called.
Verification includes education, age, category, PTI diploma, Punjabi subject in matric, sports record, domicile, etc

4. Medical Examination

Final step to confirm fitness for the role.
Appointments are issued post-medical clearance and final merit ranking.
